Transition Plan Process

If you were taking a non-formulary, step therapy, or prior authorization medication prior to joining our plan, the pharmacist who refills your prescription will be able to provide you a one-time fill of up to 30 days of your medicine. You will pay the appropriate tier co-payment for your medications.

If you are a resident of a long-term care facility, you will be allowed up to 90 days of your medication. You will pay the formulary tier co-payment applicable to your plan.

For current members affected by a formulary change from one year to the next, we will provide one temporary supply of the non-formulary drug during the first 90 days of the new plan year.

After you receive your transition fill, you will need to talk to your doctor to discuss other medication options available to you within our formulary.

Please refer to your Evidence of Coverage for more detailed information on our Transition Plan Process.

If you are not sure whether a drug you are currently taking is on our formulary, click on Drug List Look-up tool to search for your drug. If you need further assistance, please contact a member of our Enrollment Support team.
